Questions and answers
If yours is not here, ask at the front desk.
What happens at my first visit?
You check in at the front desk, then talk with the doctor and have a hands-on exam. The doctor explains what they found and what a plan could look like. X-rays are taken only when medically necessary. You pay for the visit before you leave, and you get an itemized receipt.
Is chiropractic care safe?
Every kind of care has risks. Soreness after an adjustment is common and usually short. Rare serious problems have been reported after neck adjustments, so your doctor explains the risks before any neck adjustment, and you can say no to any part of a visit. If you have a sudden severe headache or neck pain, new weakness or numbness, chest pain, or loss of bladder or bowel control, call 911 or see a physician first.
Will the adjustment hurt?
Most people feel pressure, not pain, and some feel sore afterward. The doctor changes the technique to fit you, and we stop whenever you ask.
How many visits will I need?
Your doctor sets a plan after the exam and changes it as you go. We do not promise a number of visits. You can stop at any time.
Do you take my insurance?
We are a cash practice and do not bill insurance for visits. You pay at the visit and can ask for an itemized receipt to send to your plan. Your plan decides whether it reimburses any of it. The page on how fees work has the details.
What if I do not use insurance?
Most of our patients pay this way. If you do not use insurance, you have the right to a Good Faith Estimate. Ask us. We give you a written estimate before the visit.
Do I need x-rays?
Only when medically necessary. The doctor tells you why before taking any, and you can ask questions first.
Can I bring my child or come while pregnant?
Tell the front desk when you check in. The doctor explains what we do and what we do not do, and asks you to see your physician or midwife first for anything beyond that. We make no claims about conditions in children or about pregnancy.
What if I have already seen another provider?
That is fine. Bring what you have, or tell the doctor who you saw. We do not judge other providers, and with your written permission we can share what we find with them.
What is your cancellation policy?
Walk-in visits need no appointment, so there is nothing to cancel. If you booked a time, please call if you cannot come. For the monthly plan: Month to month. Cancel any time in person, by phone or by email, and we refund the unused days of the month, pro rata.
Still have a question?
Call or stop in during open hours.
