How fees work
Insurance we work with
We are a cash practice and do not bill insurance for visits. Some health plans reimburse part of a chiropractic visit that you paid for yourself. The plan decides.
If you pay yourself
You pay at the visit. What sets the fee is the kind of visit: a new patient exam, a walk-in visit or the month-to-month plan. The front desk tells you the current fee for each in your written estimate, and the doctor tells you the cost of care before it begins.
Receipts for reimbursement
Ask for an itemized receipt (a superbill) at every visit. You can send it to your plan. A plan may reimburse part of it, and the plan decides.
An estimate in advance
If you do not use insurance, you have the right to a Good Faith Estimate. Ask us. We give you a written estimate before the visit.
Checking your benefits
We do not check your benefits, because we do not bill your plan. Call your plan before your visit and ask what it reimburses for out-of-network chiropractic care.
What the first visit includes
A talk with the doctor, a hands-on exam and a plan for what comes next, in about an hour. X-rays only when medically necessary, and the doctor tells you why first.
Three more answers
Medicare
Medicare covers only manual spinal manipulation. Exams, x-rays and other services are not covered.
Cancelling the monthly plan
Month to month. Cancel any time in person, by phone or by email, and we refund the unused days of the month, pro rata.
If you cannot make a visit
Walk-ins need no appointment. If you booked a time, call us if you cannot come. We set no fee for a missed visit in this sample; the practice states its own policy here.
Ask for your estimate
The front desk gives it in writing before the visit.
